ABSTRACT

Bootstrap data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a way to analyze the sensitivity of efficiency scores relative to the sampling variations of the estimated frontier. This paper provides an implementation of boostrap DEA suggested by Simar and Wilson (1998). Specifically a simple MATLAB function called bsccrie and its illustative implementation with a data set are provided. This MATLAB function could reduce the computational burden of DEA researchers.
